What she does here
Clara Novak puts together the timeline that runs through the home page, from 1996 to 2026. She also writes the five casino stories, one per venue. Each is a short biography: when the casino opened, the names and operators it had, and what matters about it now. That last part covers hours, the loyalty card, the hotel and racing where they apply.
She is a drawn character, not a photograph of a person. On the five casino pages she holds a board with one dated fact on it. The board lets a reader see a date and a fact together at a glance. Before any of that goes up, she checks each opening date, former name, operator, address and set of hours, and dates each check.
How the facts are checked
Her sources are the casinos' own websites, Great Canadian Entertainment and Mohegan pages and news releases, and OLG's Find A Casino page. She also uses the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario, Grand River Raceway's own pages, iGaming Ontario, the AGCO, ConnexOntario and PlaySmart. Some history is missing from official pages, such as Brantford's earlier names or Mohegan's 2019 agreement. For those points the site turns to encyclopedia articles and names them on its method page.
Every check carries a date. The checks behind the present pages were done on October 7 and 8, 2026, and each page shows when it was checked. Where two dates or figures for the same thing do not match, she leaves them out or notes the disagreement. Holiday hours appear nowhere on the site and should be checked on each casino's own site.

This site is an independent guide. It is not a casino, takes no bets and has no accounts. The home page carries three paid links, each marked Ad: one in the menu, one just below the first screen and one near the end. All three lead to the same online casino partner, which can change, and the site earns a commission.
